We decided to make a little trip over the 4 day Easter holiday. Nearly impossible as all ozzies travel over Easter somehow. So we found a last minute deal (no not cheap, lucky to find a place for the night!)It was not hard to guess the motel was called "Tower Motel" and we were not out of reach with our mobile phones but might have some brain freeze from sleeping so close to this tower!!
On a serious note, Marysville suffered badly last year on Black Saturday and was nearly completely destroyed after the worst bush fires ever. It is now in a rebuild phase. As we drove into the area many trees are still charred but at the same time it is so green again. 173 people died and 2000 homes were destroyed.
