Next to having no water bills, we also got no gas bills as we only got a wood heather, and this is rather time consuming! Buying wood, splitting wood and making sure the fire keeps going 24/7. Not that easy to be honest! But it is only a couple of months a year.

And this is the veggie patch where it is all going to happen....one day!

This is the dam at the end of our street, in the estate are three dams and all water for gardens and public gardens are used from these dams. All water that we use for drinking, showering etc is filtered rain water and we got a huge water tank in our garden.

This is our window view from the back (or front) of the house and today it is the first day we actually can see the snow on top of the mountains. Each morning we can see the fog above the trees and it is a magic!

Our estate used the be a fruit orchard long time ago so all over you find lots of fruit trees. As a result we have 3 orange and lemon trees in our garden plus a fig and plum tree but they have got no fruit at the moment. Lots and lots of lemons and oranges though!

Some of the native trees in our garden, they do attract a lot of birds.

Een heus nagekomen persbericht!!!

Ja ja, you can run but you can't hide Minne...De persfotograaf van NE Photography in Wangaratta heeft alles op de gevoelige plaat vastgelegd en zodoende ben je nu vereeuwigd in je rode jack, met geleende sokken, kicks, kaarten, notitieboekje en fluit op de website. Ik heb er eentje afgeplukt en hier illegaal afgedrukt (zonder ervoor betaald te hebben), maar er zijn er nog meer te vinden daar. Toen ik thuiskwam en dit aan Korrie vertelde had ze het niet meer ('Echt?!?!?!?!'), maar eerlijk is eerlijk, men was onder de indruk van ons aller Minne die door de voorzitter van de club in hoogst eigen persoon is gevraagd om de fluit ter hand te nemen en een 'risico-wedstrijd' te leiden. En het ging heel erg goed, getuige de foto's. Geniaal!!

Weer naar Nederland

Na Sydney, verhuizen, Healesville, Bright, Rutherglen, wineries, BBQ, pre-wedding feestjes, wandelen, tuinieren, voetbal en oppassen is het dan zo weer tijd om terug te gaan naar Nederland. Mijn ouders hadden hier al bijna een drukker social life dan wij na 1 jaar!! Een super bezoek met super veel hulp in drukke tijden en dan vliegt het ook zo weer voorbij. Het was koud op Melbourne maar het afscheid was warm want we zien elkaar over twee weken al weer!

Een pre wedding dinner bij de Thai

Na de pre wedding lunch nu een pre wedding dinner met Werner zijn team en al weer een super kado, het is nu allemaal al leuk dit trouw gebeuren!
